| Bio: | Mini-bio, eh? Here goes. Born in Dalhart, Texas with wind that kept the trees at almost 45 degree angles to the soil. Mom craved watermelon the whole time she was carrying me and went to films, too; I got an early start on filmloving.
Grew up in San Antonio, Cuero, Harlingen, Yorktown, Hondo, and close to 15 other cities and towns in Texas, most during WWII. Bedford, MA was another wonderful place we lived. As you have already surmized, my dad was Army Air Corp/Air Force and I am an Air Force brat.
Grew up in the time of big drive-in movie theatres, epic blockbusters and musicals. My dad could have been a really good writer, my mom could have been a mathematician if alcohol hadn't intervened in our lives.
College was my main goal growing up and a master's degree in education, Secondary Reading, Psychology, and BA in English and Music resulted. Science was also a love , but not being able to use a slide rule eliminated that as a viable route.
A middle school/junior high teaching career that spanned the late 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's meant broad interests that ranged widely. Retirement has only expanded to visual arts of many kinds, computer, and time for indulging my ability to concentrate, resource, and study the creative process.
I love life and people, good writing and filmmaking, and odd, creative ways of looking at the same old things. |
